The whole appointment, in Polish
If Polish is the language you think in, you shouldn't have to translate your own symptoms in real time, or bring a family member to interpret something private. From the first consultation through every follow-up, the appointment can be entirely in Polish.
That matters clinically, not just socially. Describing mood, anxiety or intrusive thoughts accurately is hard in any language. Doing it in a second one costs detail, and detail is what a good evaluation runs on.
Care is provided by Gabriela Gehrman, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner licensed in Illinois.
